Guest speaker, Tamara Tarasoff, (Parks Canada) guides us through a behind the scenes look at the creation of Canada's newest northern National Historic Site.

‎Much has happened in and around King William Island, Nunavut, since the discoveries of Sir John Franklin's lost ships in 2014 and 2016. Join TamaraTarasoff, Project Manager, Wrecks of HMS Erebus and HMS Terror National Historic Site for Parks Canada as she explains her work with Inuit in the hamlet of Gjoa Haven, Nunavut, underwater archeologists, historians and many other experts to protect and present these two famous shipwrecks and the stories associated with them.
