The New Moon is the first lunar phase when the moon is blotted out of the sky. This isn’t as strange a thing to celebrate as it may seem. A New Moon occurs when the Earth, moon, and sun are in perfect alignment so we aren’t able to see the sunlight the moon typically reflects. These nights are often dark but an amazing opportunity to see the stars and even planets-- plus it is tied with spiritual and energetic renewal.

In Canada, adults under 40 are 28% less likely to be religiously affiliated than those over 40. We find many people looking for an alternative way to feel connected, inspired, and find clarity. This is it.

We draw so much inspiration from being in nature. The feel-good effects of being in nature cannot be denied. With so many revelations on the side of science as it pertains to nature exposure, we could not ignore this type of invigorating activity. It is truly one of the simplest ways to improve your health physically, spiritually, and mentally. The restorative properties of Nature are undeniable. We make it a priority focus at EPIC to help you get away from that “always on” mentality. It is only going to do good things for your health. We’re making it easier for our clients and members by organizing monthly outdoor hikes and forest bathings. We find the perfect spot, gather an epic group and all you have to do it sign-up and #JustShowUp!

The new beginning that New Moon offers is fitting for our April hike. As the world around us is starting to bloom again so are our spirits with new ideas, strength, and power.

We will be meeting in P11 O’Brien of Gatineau Park to hike and take in the gorgeous snow-and-sun-kissed views. Yes, even under a blanket of fresh powder, nature has so much goodness to offer us!

We will be walking at an intermediate pace. This hike is open to EVERYONE. You do not have to be an EPIC member to sign up.
Please show up 10 mins prior to the scheduled hike time in order for us to start on time.
Bring appropriate clothing (layers, layers, layers!), lots of water and snacks! You don’t have to be an EPIC member to join us. We want to open up this hike to anyone who is interested in participating so tell your friends and RSVP!
