You're invited to Paint Roulette, an evening of chance and live art in support of our newly launched ArtReach program! Here's how Paint Roulette works:
1. You write an idea for a painting on a paper ticket! You get to submit whatever your heart desires — it can be a replica of the Sistine Chapel ceiling, or it can be a disembodied big toe. ** Explicit and hate or violent content not welcome **
2. All tickets get put into a jug, and artists draw from the submissions to find out what they will be painting. NO swapping — what they draw is what they paint.
The finished works will be auctioned off upon completion. Each idea submission is $5, the proceeds of which support ArtReach. We will also be offering raffles and a featured cocktail for this event only!
Your donations throughout the evening will ensure that The Art House Cafe can provide further opportunities to artists and emerging creatives.

The Art House Cafe is a social enterprise whose mission is to spread the positive everyday impact of art by making art and art resources more accessible. Artwork is made readily available in our inviting and inclusive space in a variety of mediums, formats, and price points. As a fully functioning art gallery, performance venue, and cafe, The Art House Cafe connects local Ottawa visual artists, musicians, and craftspeople with each other and with a community of people who appreciate their work. We are your portal to access the creative scene in Ottawa!
ArtReach is the program through which we achieve our social impact goals. We have built an amazing community of artists and art-lovers at The Art House Cafe, and we ask for your donations to ArtReach so we can continue to foster social and economic success for our local creative community. Your support will strengthen us as a home for the arts in Ottawa.
WHAT IS A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE?
Social enterprises are organizations that use revenue-generating strategies to achieve social, environmental, and economic benefit and change! Think about this as a business with the spirit of a non-profit.
As a social enterprise, most of the money The Art House Cafe makes is reinvested to make sure we can continue building capacity for artists, creating community, and supporting local. With the help of the folks around us, we know we can have a greater impact and further extend the reach of art!
